We are seeking a part-time Program Manager for our LGBTQIA+ Programs

 

Position Title: Program Manager of SAGA Community Center (WPPA’s LGBTQIA+ Program)

Schedule: 10-15 hours per week (potential for full-time as the organization grows) some evenings required

Salary: $18-$22/hr depending on education and experience

Position Description: The Program Manager focuses on managing and growing current programs and services in collaboration with SAGA's Director of Program Development and The Welcome Project PA's Executive Director.

 

Qualifications: We are seeking the following skills, education and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, or a related field

  • Significant knowledge of and experience with supporting LGBTQIA+ communities 

  • Cross-cultural experience and understanding of intersectionality

  • Strong interpersonal skills related to working in a social justice oriented environment 

  • Non-profit management experience

  • Strong written and verbal skills

  • Experience with speaking/training is a plus

  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus

 

Responsibilities: The Program Manager will have the following responsibilities: 

Program Management

  • Assist with development of programs to meet the needs of the local LGBT+ communities

  • Facilitate community events and programs

  • Coordinate volunteers

Community Support and Outreach

  • Respond to phone call and email inquiries

  • Support individual and family community members by providing resources and support related to LGBT+ issues

  • Manage social media accounts

Community Education

  • Co-facilitate LGBTQIA+ competency trainings 

Non-profit Management

  • Assist with fundraising

  • Managing donor database

  • Assist with tracking results of strategic plan

  • Attend weekly staff meetings
